Route network

Our airline primarily focuses on Europe and places emphasis on providing connections between the regions of the continent that are carefully adapted to the demands of travellers. The operation of Malév is still based on the three daily schedule waves. From the Middle-East, South-East and Eastern European destionations, the flights arrive early in the morning to Budapest, from which our passengers can easily and quickly transfer to the flights to the Northern and Western European destinations.

From the Northern and Western regions of Europe the flights arrive around noon, and departures to the Eastern and South-Eastern regions. This process repeats in the afternoon and evening period. One third of our passengers are transferring in Budapest, so it is very important for us to provide quick and easy connections.

Beside our European destinations we also place emphasis on our Middle-East routs, which gives the significant amount of our transfer passengers. In the winter period, Malév flyes to almost 50 destinations of 33 country, and together with its code share partners the Hungarian capital is linked with 36 country's more than 60 cities.

Our passengers can reach nearly 700 cities on five continents via the networks of our oneworld partners. The member airlines provide aligned timetables, e-ticket acceptance and the frequent flyers can collect and burn points across the entire oneworld network. Moreover, the Gold card holders can access to some 550 lounges across the globe.
