Carry-on baggage
Carry-on baggage dimensions:
The combined total of the length, width and height of any carry-on baggage can be up to 115cm (e.g.: 55x40x20cm) except on of our Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft, where this value cannot exceed 100cm. Maximum weight for any carry-on baggage is 10kg.
Checked-in baggage
The airline assumes no liability for any contingent damage, delay or loss of cash, securities, bank- or credit cards, watches and other jewellery, precious metals, gemstones or semi-precious stones, computers, camcorders, cameras, mobile phones and other valuable electronic devices, deeds and other official documents, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, prescription eyeglasses, valuable garments and accessories, works of art, fragile objects or perishables checked in passengers' baggage.
ATTENTION:
1. Should you feel uncertain about the security of your valuable(s) aforementioned herein, you may ask for suitably sized plastic bags at the check-in desk, in which the valuable(s) in question may be permitted onboard.
2. If the overall dimensions of the carry-on baggage exceeds the size stipulated under item 1.3.1.1., it will be collected by our colleagues either at the boarding gate or by the aircraft door and taken to the cargo bay of the plane. In such situations you may also request plastic container bags at the helpdesk, at the boarding gate or from your flight attendants.
Flight security
Once seated, you are kindly asked to read the safety card placed in the pocket of the seat in front of you.
- Although permitted on board, the operation of radio and television equipment, video players, mobile phones, scanners, walkie-talkies, printers and any remote controllable devices is strictly prohibited.
- Laptops, non-remote controlled toys, video cameras, DVD-, CD-, Minidisc- and mp3 players or battery-operated razors may be operated only after cruising altitude has been reached and the seatbelt sign has been turned off.
- Pursuant to Act IV of 1978 and Government Decree 218/1999, breaching the above security regulations shall be subject to a fine.
- Malév refuses to carry passengers who, either at the airport or on board the aircraft, engage in activities or maintain a demeanour that may jeopardise flight safety, disturb other passengers or violate other security and law enforcement interests. Malév reserves the right to take legal action through the appropriate authorities against such passengers.
