Error messages - here are the most common error messages
- Your session has expired or timed out. Your check-in session has timed out as you have left the page idle for 10 minutes. You can either restart the online check-in process, or you can check-in at the airport.
- This application is currently unavailable. A technical problem prevents the use of online check-in. We are taking all possible measures to resolve the issue and restore normal operation.
- We are unable to process your check-in request at this time. Please try again later or call Malév Contact Center or check-in at the airport.
- Notification that certain navigation buttons should not be used. Using the "Back", "Forward", "Refresh" or "Reload" buttons may end the application and bring up a session expiry error with a warning message notifying that the navigation buttons should not be used. To avoid these inconveniences, please use the functional buttons on the application page instead. Should you close or leave the check-in browser session, the check-in session will be aborted automatically; no rollback actions can be taken. You will need to restart the check-in process. (If the application is either on or has passed the "Confirmation" page the selected passengers are checked-in already. Closing the browser at this point will not cause any change to the passenger record in the check-in system.)

2. Select passengers
Description
- If there are at least two passengers in the booking, none of them is selected as default. If you would like to check-in, you have to select passenger(s). If there is only one passenger in the booking, the online check-in process skips this stage and moves to flight selection.
- If your status is already "checked-in", the text colour of your name is displayed differently from others who are "not checked-in".
- An infant passenger (age between 2 days - 2 years) has to be selected together with the adult who is associated with the infant in the reservation. If the infant is not selected, the application will automatically remove the infant from the passenger record.
- The name of the infant passenger will be displayed if available in the passenger's reservation, otherwise "with infant" or "infant" will be displayed. The feature will apply to all screens relating to journeys with an infant.

If your connecting or return flight departs from any of the above airports, you can check-in on both the first and the second flight separately. In all other cases you are requested to see a check-in agent at the airport to obtain your boarding pass for a connecting flight.
4. Seat Selection
Description
- In a group/family check-in, the application will assign seats closely located for all members of a group or a family, provided that such seats are available at the time of check-in.
- If one member of your group checked-in earlier, his/her name will be unselectable when you are checking in because seat change is not permitted for previously checked-in passengers.
- If you are not eligible for a seat change (e.g. for safety reasons passengers with infants are not allowed to be seated next to the emergency exit; for more info see Questions-Answers) your name will be displayed differently from those who are allowed to change their seats.
