Sweden is a place where the huge pine forests and lakes make an ideal place to rest. The cities and towns are steeped in history. Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, Malmo and many more are peaceful, civilised and yet thriving places. From Budapest, using a Malev scheduled service is your cheapest way to fly to Sweden. The wildlife in Sweden is notable for its protected status and diversity, with bears, wolves and various creatures living in the forests and lakes, many not to be found in much of Western or central Europe. This is a huge country, 450 thousand square metres, with around 40 thousand lakes, and only 9 million inhabitants. Birdwatchers, potholers and bicyclists will find much to their liking in Sweden, not to mention the opportunities for angling and hiking.
It's worth a detour to Watter Lake, where on the south side sits the idyllic small town Jonkopping, with the lakeside boasting clear air and strikingly beautiful scenery. Orebro is another such lakeside town, dating from the Middle Ages, located near Lake Vanern, Europe's third-largest lake with its crystal clear colours.
Clean Stockholm
Stockholm can be defined for visitors around the Gustav Adolfs Torgon, the main square, which sits near where the river Malaren curves in to the Baltic Sea. Walking around the Old Town of Gamla Stan, we'd find long streets, colourful old houses and perhaps the familiar air of a seaside town. The transformation in winter is sudden, as the river water freezes and the town sits under a thick blanket of snow. In the summer the long northern days prompt parties and festivals. Stockholm is built on 14 islands, and the environment is still strictly preserved. The Royal Palace, the Town Hall and and the award-winning Blue Market are just some of the attractions which make Stockholm a great destination. Urban life in a village atmosphere: Gothenberg
Gothenberg is Sweden's second-largest city. The famous shopping area dates from the 17th century, where restaurants and terraced coffee houses still offer a pleasant way to pass the time. The city is host to Sweden's most popular amusement park, Liseberg, ranked among the highest in the world. If in Gothenberg, the Konst Museum and the Ostindiska Huset are unmissable art museums, containing the world's biggest collection of Scandinavian art, where Rubens, Van Gogh and Rembrandt classics are located along with a large collection of the French Impressionists. Within the city there are 17 museums, 25 theatres and 38 cinemas - and in this city, much of these can be explored by foot or by using the efficient public transport system. In the surrounds of the city we can also find castles and forests. Reserve your Malev flight to Gothenberg.
