Flights to the Czech Republic

Book your flights to the Czech Republic online. Most visitors to the Czech Republic start with Prague. This city of spires can provide a worthwhile holiday on its own. But it would be a mistake to only visit Prague, when such naturally beautiful areas as the Berounka and Sazava river valleys are within reach. You can also see the natural backdrop of ancient mountain forests characteristic of the region. The highest mountain range, and the most popular in the north-east region, is in Moravia, where the Jeseniky Mountains offer hiking, cycling and skiing, depending upon the season. And whilst Prague offers a unique atmosphere, smaller towns around the country have much to offer. For example, Brunn's atmospheric streets contain a mix of historical treasures and modern facilities.  In the north-west of the Czech Republic, the famous spa towns such as Carlsbad show the way in restorative therapy - and also a relaxing stay for visitors looking for a rest. Castles in the southern Czech Republic

In the south of the Czech Republic there are are a number of picturesque historical towns, worthy of at least a weekend visit. Cesky Krumlov is a classic example, not only as a historic location, but also as an existing vibrant venue, where the town and castle plays host to a number of festivals and events. Anybody interested in the arts will find many galleries and entertainments as well the Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Among the notable buildings are the Church of St Vitus with its huge frescoes. Kutna Hora, meanwhile, was the richest Czech city in the Middle Ages and still bears a legacy with its ornate churches and beautiful monasteries. Much of the source of this wealth originated from the nearby silver mine in the mountains around the monasteries. Znojmo, which is only 40 kilometers from Vienna, is the centre of southern Czech winemaking, and has a famous centre which sits on a labyrinth of wine cellars. Flights to Prague

One of Prague's symbolic sights would have to be Charles Bridge. Dating from the Baroque period, it boasts 30 sculptures throughout its length, and is flanked by two gothic towers on each side. Prague Castle is the largest in the world with its various extensions and attachments. The Astronomical Clock, Or the Orloj, dates from 1410, and consists of a mechanical clock, astronomical dial, and a calendar. Moving statues were added later to represent the feared figures of Death, Greed, Vanity and Infidels. Wenceles Square is not actually a square, but a long, wide street, and it's here that you can find the National Museum and the statue of St Wenceles.
