During todays meeting of the Board of Directors at Malév, Martin Gauss, CEO of the airline, gave a detailed presentation of the three-year business plan, implementation of which will guarantee the operation of the carrier over the long term.
At the end of May the Board requested Malév's management to draft a three-year business plan. The senior executive body of the company debated this plan at today's Board of Directors meeting. The business plan covers the issues of fleet restructuring, staff rationalization, the commercial strategy and the cost-cutting programme. The business plan will bring Malév back to profitability within the next three years.
Due to the complicated situation in the industry the Board of Directors has asked the management to revise some of the forecasts of the three-year business plan and will discuss the plan again during the next Board meeting.
