SuperJet international announced the execution of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Budapest, Hungary, based Aeroplex for MRO services to support Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
According to this agreement, Aeroplex will join SuperJet International's MRO network of Authorized Service Centers to provide SSJ100 operators with heavy airframe maintenance, modifications, unscheduled maintenance services, line and base maintenance and will have field teams to provide off-site support.

Aeroplex of Central Europe Aircraft Technology Center, based in Budapest Ferihegy International Airport, is the subsidiary of MALEV Hungarian Airlines. It was established in 1992 to perform services in aircraft maintenance. As a PART-145 maintenance organisation, Aeroplex specialises in the heavy airframe overhaul, repair and maintenance services of Boeing 767, Boeing 737, Airbus 320 family, Fokker 70 and 100 aircrafts. SuperJet International, based in Venice, Italy, a joint venture between Alenia Aeronautica (Finmeccanica Group) (51%) and Sukhoi Holding (49%), is in charge of marketing, sales, customization and delivery of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jet in Europe, the Americas, Oceania, Africa and Japan, as well as of worldwide after-sale support.
