The world's leading quality global airline alliance, oneworld, which includes Malév Hungarian Airlines, is ten years old this month.
It all started with a simple idea - to make global travel easier. We've done that by bringing together ten of the best airlines in the world, enabling them to offer truly worldwide coverage, with a combined network serving almost 700 destinations and 150 countries. Members of all oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes - such as Duna Club - receive all the privileges to which their cardholder status entitles them whenever they fly with any oneworld airline.
We were the first alliance to enable customers to transfer between flights operated by all member airlines with the convenience of electronic tickets only - and now we are the only alliance that lets you book round-the-world tickets on-line.
For frequent, international air travellers, alliance services and benefits have fast become a "must have", so oneworld's customer offering has never been more important in keeping our member airlines competitive and our customers satisfied.
As we enter our second decade, the alliance's strategy remains the same - focussing on quality rather than quantity and on adding value for our member airlines and our customers. As a reflection of commitment to the alliance, all member airlines, including Malév, will be decorating a number of their aircraft with a standard oneworld livery from this month.
